Dad, I know this is a very hard time for you. Mom was a very special person. Since she has been gone, I have felt the love and kindness from so many people whose lives have been touched by her. I know we may have taken her for granted at points during her life, and looking back at those times we may feel guilty. But, mom would not want us to feel any guilt. She was the most understanding person I will probably ever meet. She had a way at looking at the good side of everyone and every situation. I can't ever remember her saying a negative word or speaking badly of anyone.............\

She would always call me her "baby", and I would act like it embarrassed me. The truth is, I was proud to be her baby and I loved the way she babied me, even when I was grown and had kids of my own..........\

We all had a special place in her heart, and I know the place she has in my heart will never be replaced or diminished. She was a great mom and I hope I can be half the parent she was............\

It is hard to measure ones life when they are gone. Some people measure it by their net worth, other measure it by the accomplishments they have made. I think a person's life can be measured by how many people that person has touched or affected during their lifetime. This being the case, Mom has touched more people's lives than I ever realized. Her friends are "true friends", that truly loved her. Her family always held her in the highest regards and respect. From cousins to sisters, from brother-in-laws to great grandkids, from children to her husband. We all knew mom was a great person, but I don't think any of us knew how many people truly loved her and are better off for knowing her. She truly made an impact on this world. She did it in her own quite way, but the impact she made was something that I can only hope to do before my life is over...........\

If my kids love me as much as I love her, than I know that I have taught my kids what my mother has taught me...........\

I love you dad and hope the pain you are feeling right now will soon be replaced with happy memories. A friend told me that we need to "lean on the happy memories when we feel sad", I know the happy memories are countless, so I am confident that every time we are sad, we will never run out of happy memories to lean on.........\

I love you dad, and I know mom is looking down on us with her loving smile and beautiful eyes. She knows we need time to grieve, but she would not want us to dwell on the sad times, instead she would want us to focus on all the happy times. And believe me, those happy times far out way the sad...........\

You and mom have did a great job of raising your kids and we are all here for you whether you like it or not..........\
