Obituary of Geraldine Alice Jacob

GERALDINE A. JACOB\ Age 86 of Mt. Morris died Monday, March 12, 2007 at Grand Blanc Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 16, 2007 at the Mt. Morris First Baptist Church, Pastor Tim Evans officiating with burial following at Flint Memorial Park. Geraldineas family will be present to receive friends Thursday from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. 7:00 pm Thursday evening, there will be an OES Memorial Service by the Mt. Morris Chapter OES #474. Friday morning, Geraldine will be taken to lie in state at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Alzheimeras Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at the church. Geraldine was born July 4, 1920 in Clio, Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Clarion A. and Naomi (Holmes) Reed. Geraldine and Gerald C. Jacob were united in marriage on July 25, 1942 in Clio, Michigan. She was a long time member of the Mt. Morris First Baptist Church serving on many of their committees, supported the Flint Rescue Mission, was a member of the Mt. Morris Chapter OES # 474, and her Neighborhood Secret Pal Club. Throughout her life, Geraldine enjoyed her neighbors and the many activities at her church. Left to cherish Geraldineas memory are her children, daughter-in-law, Barbara Jacob of Swartz Creek and her children, David Jr. and Brian; daughter, Sandra K. and husband John Martin of Flint and their family, Michelle A., Doug, Michelle T., David, and Angela; and son, Delbert C. and wife Carole Jacob of Mt. Morris and their family, Ryan, Brent, and Chris; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Delores Wood of Gladwin; 2 sisters-in-law, Darlene Westerman of Clio and Phyllis Jacob of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald in 1987; son, David in 2006; sister, Janice Duren in 1963.
