Lived in same neighborhood and went to school at St.Agnes with Mark. On the football team , too. Then way later, worked at same factory , and would run in to him occasionally.
We talked about old friends,'What ever happened to...' He always knew. I know he was enjoying life and retirement. Way too soon ,Mark. Deepest sympathy to the family.

Mark,
You had your time on earth and completed the plan He had for you...Too early for some of us...But now you rest in His loving arms, no more pain, no more being so sick you want to die...You will be missed Mark by many people whose life you touched during the course of time...Your wife, children, grandchildren in laws, out laws, friends...We will all be together one day residing in the New Heaven...Love, A classmate who misses you already...Wendy Garant...

My fondest memory of Mark will always be in Jackson 2005. While talking and mingling with all of the candidates awaiting our 4th Degree Exemplification, it was getting pretty loud. From out of nowhere, this loud voice comes through, "Gentlemen, listen up!" As a former Marine, I look to see who it was, expecting a man who is a poster boy Drill Instructor. Nope, it was Mark, calmly and efficiently getting everyone quieted down and lined up properly.
He kind of scared me for a bit, but after a while I learned that he knew his business as Senior Marshall, wanted things to go smooth, and would expect nothing less. And he got it done. He was a Brother Knight to look up to, and he inspired me to join the color corps, then helped me order my regalia when I did.
His passing leaves a huge hole in the Knights, and he will be greatly missed.

A Friendship that began in 1994 when Mark joined our council and turned into a brotherhood. True friendship is a rare thing and is hard to put into words, but Mark was mine. We shared so much together. One of Marks great ideas when we were at one of the many State Conventions we attended was to buy some Cat in the Hat hats and parade around with and party. It blossomed into the Cat in the Hat Club which Mark hand picked all the couples that joined. Mark purchased each set of hats and we initiated our Knights friends into the group. Our group joined together for an annual picnic of over 50 couples. Great Fun!

I was riding in a car with Mark I did not have my fourth degree pin on he gave me one I offered to pay him for it. His reply was I only could pay for it by joining the Color Corps. Which I did, soon after. I remember Mark's drill Sargent's appearance when acting as a Marshal I will always remember him. I am very sorry to see my brother knight and friend pass, I as well as the family, will miss him. I am so sorry for your loss. Heaven I am sure will welcome him.
