Obituary of Michael William Whysall
Age 58, of Flint, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at McLaren Oakland. The funeral service will take place, 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Community of Flint. Deacon Mike Martin to officiate with cremation to follow. Mike's family will be present at church to receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Mike was born on November 12, 1965, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Laurabell Whysall. He married the love of his life, Marta Christensen on February 18, 2005, in Flint, Michigan. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, deer hunting, listening to classic rock and country music. Mike had a soft spot for animals. He also loved his lawn and took great pride in sharing his tips and tricks for an immaculate lawn. Many children in the family knew him as the Tooth Fairy.
Mike was a well-known volunteer who sat on the Board of Directors and the committee of health and safety for Back to the Bricks. He was also a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for many years, and an educator for the Young Marines in Genesee County. Above all, Mike cherished his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Marta Whysall; daughter, Heather and husband, Anthony Richards; two grandsons: Noah and Logan Richards; three siblings: Harry and wife, Karen Whysall, Patricia and husband, Melvin Roney, and Laurie Peterson; special niece, Thailyia Christensen; special nephew, Maddex Weathers; father-in-law, Hans and wife, Marie Christensen; mother-in-law, Lynn Christensen; two brothers-in-law: Lance and wife, Tisha Christensen, and Justin Weathers; sister-in-law, Sabrina Glover and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
