Some of the first things I ever heard Uncle Jerry say was in Morris Code.
It used to make us laugh as little kids cause it sounded so funny to our ears,.
Or maybe it was his big mischievous smile, laughter, and twinkle in his eyes ~ that made us giggle.
He ALWAYS had a joke or a trick to share.
“You got anything to say.?” he’d ask. And before we could get a syllable out he’d say TOO LATE NOW!
He and his brother Harold were funnier than Rowan and Martin on the old Laugh Inn shows. They had their own act. Jerry being Union and Harold being Management at the same GM plant ~they could crack jokes for hours.
When he was discharged from the Navy he came home in a red mustang, and had a reel to reel tape recorder with a zillion 1950’s songs on it, I still know many of them by heart.
He brought music, laughter, and genuine smiles to this world. May he continue to lift many many heavy hearts, through memories, music, funny jokes, and laughter.
. . . Dah dit dah dit xxo uncle Jerry

Although we may have been distant for the last several years, we're still family and we send our deepest condolences. I have lots of fond memories with Uncle Jerry (and Aunt Jackie). After the passing of my sister at a young age they helped me get my mind off of the tragedy and spent time with me, when they didn't have to. I remember spending weeks with them in Bay city, where I spent my days fishing out in front of their park, riding bikes with Jerry around town, and every now and then getting bar burgers with him at Tubby's. They taught me to play horseshoes and went out of their way to pick me up every week to participate in their league in Flushing. Uncle Jerry seemed to be a legend when around anyone playing horseshoes, and everyone loved his "Jerry jokes." He will be missed.
Sincerely,
Nate Dow and Family

My daddy. There are no words to express how much I love you. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life. You gave me more than any kid could ask for, not material things (although I never wanted for anything) but experiences. Trips by car, plane, boat and train. Hotels, motels, and campgrounds. With family, friends or just us. I’ll never forget anything we did together. You making me drive you around after my first accident so I would get over my fear. Walking me down the aisle and dancing at my wedding. Watching westerns on the weekends when I was little. Discussing news and hearing your stories over the last few months. I wouldn’t change a thing.
