I meet and worked with Karl at the truck plant when we were both young husbands and fathers trying to provide for our families. We had an instant connection because of our shared faith in Jesus Christ. We were part of a small group of Christian guys who spent time together during breaks and lunches laughing and yoking together but mostly talking about And studying the Bible. Our families got together often because our kids were around the same age. I remember those days fondly . I was soo grieved to hear of Karl’s death but only for a second or two because I took comfort in knowing that “ to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. Karl was not perfect. Non of us believers are but he through faith alone in Christ alone was a child of God. His struggles in this life are over his life in the presence of Christ has just begun. Ralph Weidenhammer

Wow! What anhappy surprise to find Karl's name in the obituary. Karl and I worked at the truck plant together off and on for a number of years. Karl(with a K) was one of God's special people! He and I often discussed me being a Lutheran, and it was always a draw. I will remember him as having the most pleasant smile and good humor. My deepest condolence to the entire Gunther family! He is now in the Lords embrace.

Keith and Ken, I was sorry to see Karl's obituary. He was a nice young man in school and I'm sure he was a good man as an adult. I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sure he'll be remembered by many even ones who haven't seen him in years. He was a really good guy, sorry again.
