Contributions to the tribute of Hugh Edward Johnson

Met Hugh and Howard way back in 2005 when I started my career at General motors. I stayed at the scenic inn and grew a friendship with both Howard and Hugh. We had alot late nights and laughs together and became good friends. Visited Howard and Hugh often over the years. Hugh was always a kind man and always had a story to tell! Sadly I'm just now hearing of Hugh passing as the last couple of years work has kept me pretty busy. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. You were a good man Hugh and I'll miss my many check ins and visits to see both of you. Always a smile and a hand shake. Miss you buddy. I know you are doing all kinds of traveling now! Couldn't keep Hugh from wanting to travel! Rest in peace old friend you are missed.

Hugh and I go back to the mid 70s. I met his brother Howard at Shaw Hall Dormitory at MSU in 1975, and Howard and I struck up the longest friendship of my life. Howard's twin brother Hugh had a unique way of looking at life that was informative in many ways. I'll never forget Hugh's assistance in launching my boat on Lake Fenton in the spring, and taking it out in the fall. He was a gentle soul who would surprise me with some of his insights. His passing marks a milestone in my own life. Though I did not see him often in the past few years, I'll miss him. Robert L. Cojeen Grand Blanc 6/1/21
