Every time I smell peaches, I think of Daddy & I eating peach ring candies and mushroom hunting. Walking around together searching for morels and me learning about pussy willows and getting to steer the car the whole ride home. Learning how to drive and in the process being a chauffer to help dad get his cans all along the dirt roads. Mooning my friends and creeping out the boys that me and my girlfriends would bring around.. I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life. I sure do miss him.

As a kid I remember spending endless days and nights at his house. I have a ton of memories but the oldest and fondest that I can remember is when Josh and I were playing under a pear tree in the early 90's at there house in Mt.Morris I got stung by a bee for the first time. I remember him running from the house to the tree and swatting the bee off my socks. After the bee was off I remember him making some high pitched screams of his own and trying to make me laugh. While it worked for a short time, i nursed that injury for all it was worth including a trip to McDonald's and an ice-cream cone later that night. Thank you for your kindness, selflessness, and generosity. I'll always remember that first bee sting, and when I do I'll think of you and your high pitch fake wailing and smile.. Rest in Peace Uncle Bob.
