Married in 1956, Carol and John have been a remarkable example of caring, commitment, and true love to their children and grandchildren. Their shared faith and enthusiasm for life and family have provided joy and wonderful memories for many.
To say Carol was a devoted mother is the understatement of the year. She lived for her children. Every day she gave to them all that she could to care for them, guide them, and wrap them in her love. The needs of seven children were not daunting for her. She enjoyed so much the family life she and John had created, in all its glories and trials. The more activity, the better. Because that would mean more laughter, hugs, and sometimes tears. It would mean more competitions to root for enthusiastically. It would mean more friends to embrace and enjoy. It would mean more opportunities for her to stage-whisper a classic comment, give an eye-roll, or her beautiful smile. It would mean more delicious food to share together. It would mean more grandchildren to squeeze, love, and with whom to impart her certain wisdom. She embraced and treasured this wonderful, overflowing, and marvelous life.
Born in 1936, Carol was preceded in death by her parents Hugo and Marie Spring, her brother James, and her daughter Laura, all of whom we know will have greeted her in heaven.
Carol’s obituary was lovingly written by her family.
