I have lived in Lake Waldena since 1997. Joe was a wonderful friendly man.\ He had many many friends here in the park. I wish you all Peace, in knowing\ that God is now taking care of him.

Dear Hoffman family. So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember going out to your home in Genesee many times with mom and dad (Jim and Uldene Serven) as a family. We just lost mom in 2008 so we know what you are going through....It makes us orphans. Sigh and the "older" generation. Where has all the time gone? May the Lord keep his arms around you during this time and bring you much comfort.

I remember Joe from his time at Woodhaven. He and my dad, Donald Shaw, were dining partners for some time. I dined with both of them for last year's Easter Brunch. It was a lively conversation with Joe doing most of the talking. I always found him to be friendly, charming, and easy going as he sat by the front door with my dad and some of the lady residents. I was sorry to see him leave. My dad passed away Dec. 13, 2008. Now he and Joe will be greeting folks at the pearly gates and dining partners once more.

My heart goes out to the Hoffman family at their time of loss ... Joe was always a good loud voice in the crowd cheering us on and off the field. The Genesee Wolves has lost a great supporter and his family a great father, and to many of us - he was another dad of ours. Stu - sorry I could not be there but I will be praying for your family ..
