We have lost a great human being.
The publicity he always gave the Elise Luke Award at SSF has meant so much to the family.
Imagine he is djing at the Great Car Show in the Sky and making sure it is running great.
Rest in Peace, Bob

I am saddened by the loss of our favorite DJ for "car guys" here in the county. When one thinks about a classic car show or cruise, Bob Steel was always a key part of that picture. Bob brought his music, knowledge, and interesting trivia to make the car show more enjoyable. I will miss his music and friendly conversation at car shows. Bob proudly served on the writing team for the current Back to the Bricks® strategic plan. We have appreciated his insight and contributions to the strategic plan. Bob is now in his heavenly home playing his "oldies" for cruisers who arrived before him. My thoughts and prayers are for Judy, his family, and his "car guy" friends, as they go through this difficult time. Bob will definitely be missed.

What a great loss. He always knew everyone's name, their car, what kind of car it was along with the year of the cars, He greeted everyone that pulled into the car show and gave that smile and wave. Followed all his car shows, loved listening to him on the many songs that he played he knew when the song was made and the history of the singer and the reason for the song, there will NEVER be a DJ like he was. May you rest in peace Bob and Judy my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. From one of the cruisers, owner of the 1961 T-bird that you always made me welcome even after the loss of my father may you both cruise heaven with the oldies playing on your radio.

What a fitting picture but a very sad day.
Whenever I think of Bob, I recall those famous words at the end of a "Buick Day"; "it's time for a pop".
What great time Bob and I had serving on the Buick Board; and Judy, Bob and I visiting Antique shops for Judy's tea pots.
All my prayers for the Family.

Bob Steel was the best DJ I ever heard at a car show. I have been to a lot of car shows with other DJ’s but Bob had a wealth of knowledge about the music and the artist that added an nice touch to the event. He was good with personal stories about some of the cars at the car show. I hired him to do car shows at local senior centers and he was always a hit. Cruise on, Bob Steel, you were one of a kind!!!

I’m so sorry, Judy. Bob has been in my life for so many years as a school mate and stepbrother. He was such a good guy and it doesn’t feel right to know I just can’t pick up the phone and call him. My prayers are with you and the family.
