Obituary of Joseph "Joe" E. Ryckaert

Joseph E. Ryckaert was called home to his Heavenly Father on June 24, 2016, after many years of illness. His firm faith in Jesus as his Savior gave him peace in his passing. His family is rejoicing knowing he is resting in the arms of Jesus and no longer in pain. Joe was born to the late Emily and Fermin Ryckaert on March 7, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. Joe had one sister, Annette Ryckaert , who proceeded him in death. Joe attended Osborn High School in Detroit, Michigan. He later went on to work for General Motors in 1973 and was an employee until his death. Joe loved many things; sports, cooking, entertaining but most of all he loved his family. He married the love of his life, Candy in 1975 and together they had two children, Justin and Suzanne. Joe was devoted husband and father. His greatest joy in life was his five grandchildren; Harper (10), Holden (8), Greyer (5) from Suzanne and Brett Eldridge and Micah and Matthew (8 months) from Justin and Kelly Ryckaert. In accordance with Joe's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Joe’s honor at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 1, 2016, at the New Life Community Lutheran Church, 7235 Torrey Rd. Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473. Joe’s family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Grand Blanc to receive friends on Thursday, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Friday morning, Joe's family will gather at church from 11:00 until time of the memorial service at 1:00 pm.
