Ah-h-h-h Joe. How I will miss you at GM. When things got tough, you were the guy who was always willing to talk through everything and provide good advice. When we fought uphill battles trying to convert people to lean thinking, we never gave up and received solace knowing we were not alone. We never gave up. but we knew when to move on to greener pastures. I will probably still walk to your desk to talk to you about the latest challenge and will be saddened that we can no longer talk; however, I know you are safe in the arms of Jesus Christ and I am grateful that we could share our Christian faith with each other. Thank you for all the times you supported your co-workers and weren't afraid to take the hard road. You were such a great example of what it means to be a family man, always showing pride in your family. Rest in peace, my friend. raGal

I was so sorry to here of Joe's passing. I didn't know Joe that well as we only met once. I know he was a great friend and co worker of my sister Sheila Hainsworth. Sheila often talked of Joe, and had great respect for him. She was always worried about Joe. I am passing on my condolences to the family, as I know Sheila would like me to do this.

Candy and family,
We felt honored to call you and "Joe" our friends. Your family has meant so much to my sister, Sally Rood and her family that we couldn't wait to meet "Joe and Candy". Finally on July 4th weekend, 2005 we met you after church. Since that time, we've kept you and Joe in our prayers during his health issues and have watched God pull him through each time, and now we see God take him home to be with Him. We will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer for strength and healing during this time. We love you! Remember, when we don't understand God, just Trust Him. He has a Plan and Purpose for each of us and we have the assurance that Joe's life didn't end on June 24th, 2016 as a matter of fact just the opposite. Joe's eternal life has "just begun". We, as God's Bride, we'll all "have the time of our life, when the time of our life is over, we're going to get carried away, when we get carried away to our Heavenly Home.
When death takes our loved ones away
Tears fall like rain from our eyes,
But you know, Joe's just beyond the skies
In a city where nobody cries.
And God will wipe all the tears from your eyes,
With a New Grace and Healing only He can supply
There's no cryin', no dyin' and no sad goodbyes
In a city where nobody cries!!!
Love, Pam and Steve Wilson

I really did not know Joe. I knew of him. I personally knew Candy. We met thru a bible study at faith. I knew that from what Candy would mention from time to time that Joe was ill but couldn't figure out exactly what it was. I am so sorry for your loss. May you seek GOD for all your answers. I know you will. Please take comfort in knowing that Joe is in a much better place now and is in no more pain.
God bless your family.

My most sincere condolences to Joe's family. I've had the pleasure to have worked with Joe for the past 20 years. I have found him to be a truly caring professional, one who was always willing to help others. I can only imagine the role model he will always be as a husband, father and grandfather.

What an awesome guy is the first thing I think of when I think about Joe. In all the years I've been cutting his hair I don't think he's ever said one negative thing about anyone or anything during our conversations. We've had lots of great conversations but no matter what we talked about, just about every time I cut his hair, he would always mention his wife his kids and his grandkids. He was a loyal customer and such a genuine person and I will truly miss him.♡
