My condolences to the family, especially to Millie, whom I know. I knew Pat and Millie from Ellenton Gardens in Florida. Pat was a wonderful lady and was loved by everyone.

Dear Kelly, Michael, Mary, Sally, Millie and Madeline, We are still in shock but wanted you to know how much Pat will be missed by mom and I and her entire Ellenton Gardens Florida family. Going to the pool, coffee hour, Euchre and Bunko will not be the same. Mom says she will really miss her traveling (flying) companion. We will have to come up with another pot o'gold for St. Patrick's Day. I have so many fond memories, like the day last winter that Pat talked me into going to this sale at the youth center. It was the coldest morning of the winter in Florida (in the 30's) and we stood in line waiting for the sale to start. Then it is a mad dash inside with people grabbing things. Pat had warned me all about this and made sure I took a large bag. We bought several things each that day, but she was happiest about a dress she found for her new great granddaughter. What a fun experience! I will always remember the giant shamrock cookie I made for Pat several years ago. I had to make it extra big, because she didn't get one of my Valentine cookies. I've never met anyone that was so good about exercising, she made me look like a lazy bum. The one thing that stood out the most about Pat was her love for her family, her big, big family. We always tried to get her to come to Florida earlier, but she never wanted to miss a gathering of her family around the holidays. We will miss #3 in the park and I hope that her family will not forget to come and see us. Kelly and Madeline, I will always have room for you. Mike, I am here if you need a ride from the airport. Mary and Sally, we so enjoyed your visit this past year. We had four Shaffer's in our Park at one time, all on the front row. It just won't be the same this next season but I have many fond memories, as I know you do. Pat was a great sister, mom and grandmother, but she was also a great friend to have. I am sorry we could not be with you yesterday, but we were there in spirit. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to ask. Love ya, Bonnie and Betty

Mike and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you and to your familIes for the loss of such a wonderful lady. Aunt Pat was always on the go, with a beautiful smile and she just exuded fun and family! My Mom would love her drop by visits and they would talk and talk. I will always remember the fun family parties that we shared at the house and the endless food! She will always have a special place in our heart and we will find comfort knowing that she has found love and peace with God and reunited with Uncle Don. Rest on peace Aunt Pat until we meet again.
