I have many fond memories of Doc spanning numerous years in Mt. Morris. He kept me on my feet and healed me many many time when I could barely walk.
I met Doc through my parents Pat and Bill Culhane when I injured my back in playing sports. I remember Doc being on the sidelines at Friday night football games. He was there for every athlete who came through his door to provide the highest quality care. Doc was an adult I trusted and respected always ready with good advice, an encouraging word, or a story.
One story involving me starts with me goofing around after a high school baseball practice. I dislocated my elbow and was in sever pain, I told no one and drove straight out to the office, Doc took me in immediately. After setting my elbow, he asked him if it hurt, when I said yes his responses was, "Good, now go home and tell your parents and Coach Brolliet."
Doc was a great man and a great friend to my parents. My condolences to family and friends.

I can't imagine too many people in the Mt. Morris area that didn't receive his services at one time or another. What I remember most about "Doc" is when I hurt my back playing in a softball tourney in Mt. Morris on a Saturday. My dad, Jim Pickard, tracked him down at the house and he came into the office to work on me so at least I could walk. And then we went to the Mountain Inn for one.
You will be missed Doc

Bruce D Serven posted a condolence

Dorothy Kay and Family,
"Doc" was the primary reason why I chose to become a chiropractor. It was thru his care during my days of playing football and other sports at Mt. Morris that inspired me to pursue my career as a chiropractor. "Doc" was able to get rid of my pain when no other "real doctors" could. I will be forever grateful for his influence on my life and the "doctor" that he was. I hope that each of you will have fond memories of him. I know I will!
Bruce D. Serven, D.C.
