Dear Jim,\
Although I cannot explain it, somehow you and I intuitively knew those days in May were drawing your life to a close. As I gave you a hug and a kiss goodbye each day, I wondered if I would see you tomorrow. I prayed, and wanted you to be with us much longer, yet I knew you were ready to go. As I heard you interact with people, you didnAaat speak the words, but you were saying goodbye. As you talked about Connie, Turauna and the girls, Jeanie, Vickie, and the rest of the family, you were passing the torch on to me. I wanted you to stay with us, but we both knew and discussed the matters of your heart.\
I hardly know where to begin to tell you how much I love and miss you. Your physical presence is desperately missed, yet I know we must learn to live without you somehow. In these days since your death, I have tried to look after people like you would want me to. Your death has left a huge void in the lives of your family, friends, and even your customers. We have all shared memories in the kindness of your soul, the sweetness of your spirit, and your great sense of humor. We have offered words of comfort to one another, and wept in despair. It has been a task of daunting proportion.\
We have entrusted you now to GodAaas care, and give thanks for the years you graced our lives. We have not only for grieved for you, but have celebrated the life of a man that we have been blessed to share. The blessings you have given us have been immeasurable.\
Until we meet again Jim, I pray that you have found the great joy and peace your heart has longed for. I also pray that we will always be connected at the soul. The world has lost another shining beacon. DonAaat worry about a thing my precious brother, IAaave got your back.\
Your loving sister,\
Pam\

Many good things about growing up next to the Mims on Linden Road. I had plenty of good times playing softball with them, and if I remember Jim always took charge. I was always glad to be around all of them, cause to have that many brothers and sisters was more fun and never a dull moment! \
\
This is a great loss along with the twins. Words can't take away the pain or loss you all feel. Hold onto the good times and each other. \

Thank you so much for letting me be part of your family. Coming from a smaller & more spread out family, I loved being part of the huge family events when we could make it to Michigan. Jimmy, his brothers and Gran are such a part of the love I have received from the Mims family. May God give those of us still on earth the comfort to think of those we miss with the same love and affection we have for those living far away. While I can not see you as often as I like, you are always in my heart... as are those who now live with God.
