One thing I always admired about Maria was her personal relationship with the Lord, she would always say "My Jesus". She was one of the most inspiring christians I have ever known. She was for real - what a true follower of Christ is all about. I loved her dearly and will miss her. Joyce Baslock

I always remember Maria as friendly and always glad to see everyone.She would always tell my mom how pretty all her girls were.I will always cherish the fond memories we shared as being fellow Hispanics in Vassar.My deepest sympathy and condolences to her family and loved ones she leaves behind.May God give you the strength to carry on in the future days to come.

Maria was a women of God & had her best friend by her & always there for each other her Daughter Angie & carry on the love her mom gave her & does the same for her kids & grankids such a great mom & great granma on each end & most ppl don't get love & suport like they do & many ppl have nothing but good to say cause she had a big heart & had so much love for any one or anything & would give her last & she will be missed & we all love u ....

I just want to send some comforting words to your family in the loss of your dear sweet love. I never met or know this beautiful woman, but my cousin Susan does and anyone that is a dear friend of hers has to be good people. I understand how you are feeling right now since I have had 2 losses in the year 2013. My 5 year old grandson & my 91 year old grandpa. So I just would like to share with you just a little of my thoughts. Cling to the memories and let them find their way to heal you. The love and laughter, the joy in the togetherness you shared...will make you strong. You'll come to realize that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to be, and that you were blessed to have such a precious & beautiful gift of love in your life.
