Prayers and love for the whole Schriner family.
Living 4 doors down I grew up with Debbie and Brian and with Brenda as my Best friend for the past 47 years. Through the years Mr. Schriner has been a strong positive father figure in my life. Growing up without a father I am so grateful to have experienced the ever present genuine 'Goodness' of this wonderful man. I have never met nor do I expect to meet a more honest, generous and true 'Gentle' man.
As a teen I do believe that I spent almost as much time at the Schriner home as I did my own. I felt as welcomed by him as if I truly belonged there. During spring break '78 he took Brenda and I on a week long trip to Gettysburg, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Washington D.C. Where we learned so much about our county's history. It was also the 1st time I had ever been out of Michigan and I can still picture detail of that trip in my head.
I will always remember this wonderful man, his smile and the twinkle in his bright blue eyes when he spoke. Watching he and Brenda share a whole stick of butter on their bread at dinner and that sweet tooth of his. I half think that the reason I am still single is that I have yet to meet the man that is even half the man as Bill Schriner.
William John Schriner, you dear Sweet man, Thank you so much for the great memories and the love that you shared with me and so many... you will be missed and remembered always .
Happy that you're reunited with all of your family in heaven .
Love Pam Houston

Our prayers and deep sympathy to the entire Schriner family. The family and our world has lost a gentle, courageous, deeply caring, dependable and humble man. We will dearly miss him. I keep hearing the words from the song "Turn, Turn, Turn" by Pete Seeger (another loss this week) in my thoughts about Uncle Bill:
To every thing (Turn,Turn, Turn) there is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn),
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace......
Our condolences,
Barb and Ed Schriner-Schmitt and family.

Oh Judy, I have had dreams of you and Susan and Albert lately. For some reason my brother Dennis mentioned you the other day as well. What wonderful childhood memories of our neighbors on Greenwood Lane; you and Albert were always looking after us. I wrote Albert's family a letter after seeing he had died about how great a young man he was to us. I have always regretted how I did not keep in contact with Susan. Love, Gloria and family

Our Sympathy goes out to the Schriner family. Bill was married to my Aunt Barb. Bill was the kindest person who always had a smile. He always wanted to help others. I enjoyed spending time with Bill and Aunt Barb when I would visit MI or they would visit CA. I enjoyed spending time with Brenda. Much Peace, Love and, Comfort for the Schriner family.
Prayers and Blessings, Kimberley and Dorothy Mahoney

Us Allans grew up 2 houses up the road from the Schriners. Brian was my best friend and Brenda and Debbie were close friends with my sisters Mary & Joy...Mr. Schriner was a quiet friendly hardworking father and a role model to the whole neighborhood..many great memories I have at the Schriner household too many to count. My heart goes out to all the Schriner family and I pray for peace and healing for them all....
