Obituary of Betty Boggs

Of Mt. Morris, age 84, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Alonzo Vincent will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, 9:00 am until 8:00 pm and Thursday, 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the First united Methodist Church of Mt. Morris. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Betty was born March 25, 1927, in Fenton, Michigan, and was adopted by the "best parents in the world," Mr. and Mrs. Pearl and Pearl (Titsworth) Urch. She and Dale J. Boggs were united in marriage April 24, 1948; he preceded her in death February 14, 2011. Betty enjoyed family, cooking, holidays, gardening and vacationing at Miller Lake; she will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Patrick and wife, Darlene Boggs, Kelly and wife, Jill Boggs and Mickey Lynne Boggs; 10 grandchildren, Penny, Kevin, Michael, Jordon, Brent, Amanda, Layna, Ashley, Kacie and Tarra; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Dale Boggs; two sons, Dennis and Michael Boggs; grandson, Craig Boggs; and brother, Carl Urch.
