Obituary of Betty G. Canfield

Of Fenton, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 90, died Friday, December 13, 2013, at Crestmont Health Care Center in Fenton. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Mark Kingen will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Betty's family will be present at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Russellville Community Wesleyan Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Betty was born November 17, 1923, in Manistique, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Lenore (Hanover) Blandford. She and Jack were united in marriage June 18, 1943. Sadly he preceded her in death. Betty worked for Mt. Morris School District for 23 years before retiring on January 3, 1989. She was a member of the Clio Wesleyan Church and Russellville Community Wesleyan Church. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending church. Left to cherish her memory are, daughter Leslee Canfield and Lynn Odglen; sister Connie LaFramboise and brother Ray (Donna) Blandford and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was preceded in death by parents, husband Jack, four brothers and four sisters.
