Hi Kim,
Like so many others, I was shocked to hear the tragic news about Mike. So sorry! Though it has been many years since we have had the pleasure of sweet association, we are still part of your spiritual family, and it hurts us greatly! Events like this certainly make the Kingdom that much more real, along with all the wonderful blessings in store. We pray that you and your daughters will keep standing firm in the faith, confident that our loving heavenly father will give you 'power beyond what is normal to endure'.
Your long time friends,
Jim & Michelle Simpson

My Uncle Mike was the most AMAZING uncle ever!!!!! There are so many stories its hard to pick just one. I will never forget coming up from Kentucky and all us kids were suppose to be sleeping in the living room... Well needless to say we were all still up when uncle mike came home from work at like 1:00am. So we greeted him by singing as loud as we could " We feel like chicken tonight"!!!!!!! We succeeded in making him laugh so we didn't get in trouble. I can't wait to see him again. Aunt Kim, Kesha, Liz, I love you all very much!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there, we will see him soon!

Kim and family--I am so sorry for your loss. I am at a loss for words. Mike was a great friend. I enjoyed his visits to the gas station. We would always talk on Sunday mornings when he came in to get the papers. We always solved the world's problems by discussing them. So many good memories. He often talked about his family and it was obvious how much he loved you. May God comfort you at this time of need.
. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Joann Duncan--BP Gas Station

I have so many great memories of who is to me the greatest Uncle in the world. There were so many times that he made our trips to MI so much fun. He was always doing stuff with us kids. I will never forget always wishing I could play the drums like him, and everytime we came to visit them us kids would beg him to play wipeout on the drums and we wouldnt want him to stop. Then the time when before Wal-mart went in where they use to live we came up one winter and he made all us kids get bundled up so he could fire up his snow mobile and pull us kids like a crazy man through the field beside their house and the whole time laughing his butt off at those of us who couldnt hang on tight enough. I love you Uncle Mike and will miss you badly...

Mike Patterson was the most generous and giving person that we had the privilege of knowing. If you were feeling depressed or just down in the dumps, Mike had the gift of lifting you up and making you feel that things were going to be just fine. He was always a positive person who loved his beautiful wife Kim and lovely daughters Mikesha & Melissa so very much. There isn't anything bad that anyone could say about Mike because he was one in a million. He loved being around the friends and his family and he showed everyone authentic love and kindness. He was always willing to help out and help anyone that he could without hesitation. Yes we have all experienced a great loss and it hurts very much. Because of the resurrection hope, his love for Jehovah, family, and others, Mike remained faithful until his untimely death. Although we miss Mike and our hearts go out to his family for their tremendous loss, we know that we'll see our dear brother again in the very near future if we remain faithful and don't give out. Kim, Mikesha, Melissa, Dick, Pat, Rick, we're here for you and you know that you're in hearts, thoughts and prayers. Agape Love

Mike was one of those genuinely nice guys who will be greatly missed. Whenever he was working for me he always went the extra step to make sure it was done the right way the first time. That level of work ethic will is rare to find these days and will be missed.

I met mike and Kim in the summer of 1986 at a party. Mikes sister sherry introduced us being I was homesick for my hometown Buffalo NY, and Kim was homesick for Michigan. From that day on Kim and I instantly became best friends. Mike and I always found ways to surprise her with visits after I went home to NY. She had baby Melissa and I showered them with gifts, she looked so much like her mom and that little Kesha , she was a duplicate of Mike. Mike and I had to stop the schemes once Kim started wrking. You all may know them longer then I hve , and def hve been in their lives the past 16 yrs that I've lost, but to me it's like yesterday that I met Mike and Kim. Mike was a great husband and father. I hve had my faults but the Best thing I'll Always cherish r the memories and pictures of Mike and Kim and their girls. They even got me to like board games especially charades . Love you Mike, next time Kim and I will scheme a plan on you. Xoxo

Mike always made us feel like family. He had a way to make even the craziest situations seem fixable, and they always were. If he knew you needed something, anything, he was there to help. He was the kindest most self sacrificing man I've ever known. Thank you Mike for allowing me and my family to be a part of yours. He will be missed deeply, until we see him again very soon!

Your spiritual brother Norman Childress. I want to thank the Patterson family for being there for me and my family. You have truly been friends to us. The kind of friends that come once in a lifetime. I thank mike so much for being there for Isaiah. He is isaiahs best friend. I never met a brother as kind and loving as mike. I'm waiting patiently for his return. What a wonderful God Jehovah is to return all our live ones sooner than we think. What a wonderful event to look forward too.

For Melissa: I hope this memory brings you a smile. I still remember the look on his face when he came over the morning after we were the first ones to spend the night in the 'new house'. It was fully stocked with non perishables since you guys hadn't moved in yet. We were hungry and went to have can of ravioli, but there wasn't a can opener so I sawed it open with my hunting knife. We left the evidence on the counter. It was a cross between shaking his head and laughing pride. He always loved his girls. And we were ingenious ;)
