Obituary of Verla C. Flynn

Of Clio, age 73, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place, 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will recieve friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Monday, 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. Monday evening, family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. On Tuesday, Verla will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Verla was born June 1, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick and Irene (Conway) Dunn. She and Robert Flynn were united in marriage October 24, 1959. Verla liked spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and eating out; and she was known for her great sesnse of humor. Left to cherish her memory is five Children; Bob and wife, Chris Flynn, Kathy and husband, Merle West, Chuck and wife, Carrie Flynn, Mike Flynn and wife, LaDonna Kegley-Flynn, and Tom and wife, Dawn Flynn; 15 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat Schaffer, Leo and wife, Ann Flynn, Jerry and wife, Wanda Flynn, Margaret Belanger, Donna Alward, Mike Flynn, and Rita and husband, Carl Uherek; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert.
