Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth McKay

Of Flint, age 89, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Carl Halquist will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Margaret's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Margaret was born January 13, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Ruth (Kibbee) Marks. She and Archie McKay were united in marriage on November 26, 1950. Sadly, he preceded her in death on October 25, 2011. Margaret enjoyed spending her time traveling up north, expecially to Mackinaw City and Oscoda, cross stitching, sewing, and doing word find puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are son; Thomas Richard McKay, grandchildren; Erick McKay and
Erica McKay, brothers, Donald Marks and wife, Pauline, Kenneth Marks and wife, Mary, Paul Marks and wife, Dee, and Leonard Marks and wife, Ruth
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and a brother.
