Margaret was always special to the Spooner Family, She was the baby sitter for the four older children. I remember on Alma avenue in Flint, She was stern, and didn't let us get away with anything. Her and Archie will alway be a great memory to us. One special lady. Judy Spooner Bland

I feel I need to share with everyone the good times Aunt Maggie and I had together.
She was a momma to me cause she was there when I needed a momma, I was very little when I lived with her. She couldn't have children of her own because of all her sickness when she was young. She raised me and I will never forget it. I am very proud of her for taking time out to raise me. I love you Aunt Maggie.
We always went downtown on the bus, even if Aunt Maggie didn't buy anything we would still go. We would walk to Grandma & Grandpa Marks house, Gladys Bigelows house.
She would love to brush my hair and curl it in sponge rollers. I remember all the ringlets. She hated it when She had to cut my long pretty hair. I think we both cried.
We all would go on vacation to, Mackinaw Island, the bridge, Wilderness state park camping, Nigara falls. If it was in Michigan or close by we went. There was never a boring day. We would always be going somewhere. Visiting, Church reviavals camp meeting, all the 4 churches that was included with the Holiness Missionary Church, Vacation bible school, Sunday and Wednesday, other churches, went. everywhere..
I wondered away from church when I got older but I came back. I wished I would of never left Aunt Maggies side, cuz when she had dementia she didn't remember me anymore and that was very, very sad. I left crying I knew I would never see the day when she would get better and start remembering me again.
I love and miss her very much and I will always cherish the memories. One memory is after Grandma Marks passed away, Aunt Maggie started sending birthday cards never missed a day. Till she got very ill. and than there was no more in the mail. Very Sad. I am longing for the day to see her in Heaven and then she will remember me, and I will be with all my loved ones.

Margaret, my sister had a long and happy life. Many times there was sickness that would strike her body, One night Margaret wasn't expected to live through the night and my father went and told Pastor Patterson and news spread and prayers were going up and was being answered, because the next day my sister was getting alot better. Pastor Patterson came to the house and prayed with Mother & Father. They both were brought to the Lord. And from that day on my parents began to serve the Lord.
She has been an inspiration to me. She told me whatever I did don't ever turn away from God.
I will miss her dearly, but I know I will see her and the rest of my loved ones in heaven on that happy reunion day.
I am sorry I can't be there today to pay my respects but I will always love and miss my sister very much. My thoughts and prayers are with the ones who are there, and the ones who are not, and also with my brothers. Leonard, Paul, & Ken.

I thank God for my sisters life because the things that happened in her life is what changed our fathers life. It was through her that Mother & Dad became Christians. She told me whatever I done to stay true to God. She was a great inspiration to me. I will miss her dearly, but I plan to see her and the rest of my family someday in Heaven for the Happy reunion Day.
I am sorry I can.t be there to pay my respects for my sister, My thoughts are with my brothers who are there and the ones who are not. Its a very sad day. I love you Leonard, Ken, and Paul.
Your brother always, Donald Marks

I had something written but I guess it was to long for this tribute.
I will always remember Aunt Maggie she was a momma to me cuz she raised me. I will always love her. I wished I would of never left her side cuz the last 3 years of her life she didn't know who I was. Oh how I cried, but there is coming a day in heaven where we will meet again and she will remember me. And that will be a happy reunion. I love Aunt Maggie and will never forget about the good times we had together.

Aunt Margaret and Uncle Archie were always together somewhere in the area.
They would go to eat at Big Boy in Clio or Bob Evans on Pierson Rd. and people loved to talk with them and enjoyed their visits!
