Obituary of Lewis Dorman

Of Genesee Township, age 79, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with entombment to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #158. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12noon until 8:00pm. On Thursday morning, Mr. Dorman will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St Mary's Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Lewis was born July 4, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and Anna (Sikes) Dorman. He and Rosemary Welch were united in marriage August 2, 1964. He will be missed by his family and many friends within the community. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rosemary; son, Ray and wife, Tami Armbruster; brother, Leon and wife, Cheryl; sisters, Lois Thompson, Lucinda and husband, Bob Bowen; five grandchildren, Monica, Mark, Andrew, Aaron, Alex; five great-children; several nieces, nephews, brother- and sister-in-laws, friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie.
