Obituary of Leo Earl Dunham

Of Vassar, age 84, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Covenant Health Care - Cooper. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, July 29, 2013, at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar with cremation to follow. Leo's family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home - Vassar on Sunday to receive friends from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. On Sunday Evening family, friends and parish will gather together to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contribution to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Leo was born December 28, 1928, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl and Priscilla Dunham. He and Shirley Bahour were united in marriage May 21, 1966. Leo enjoyed watching baseball, football, softball and volleyball, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, grilling and baking cookies and fudge. Left to cherish his memory, wife Shirley; five children, Holly (Mark) Harris, Paul (Leslie) Dunham, Patrick (Amy) Dunham, Annette (Tom) Windy and Bryan (Connie) DeMerell; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Cole, Kimberley, Stephanie, Sam, Bailie, Brennan, Bradley, Zachary and Bethany; three great-grandchildren; one sister Grace Lewis; and many other family members and friends. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gordon.
