Obituary of Dallas Jupe

DALLAS JUPE, age 84 of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Miles Martin funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Pastor Dave Burkett officiating with interment in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends and relatives on Friday, 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Friday evening family and friends will gather at the funeral home for a Masonic Service conducted under the auspices of the Mt. Morris Lodge #535 F. & A. M. at 7:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Alma. Dallas was born July 31, 1922 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Jesse and Grace (Parks) Jupe. Retired from G.M. Chevrolet Division with 33 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1941-1945. Dallas and Agnes Smith were united in marriage on September 9, 1943. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2001. Dallas leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, daughter, Mary and husband Michael Burris, son Jesse Jupe, daughter Donna and husband Randy Tester, four grand children, Eric (Cathy) Burris, Jennifer (Robert) Goings, Jason (Erin ) Jupe and Cameron Tester, six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob and Abigail Burris, Bryce and Allyson Goings and Seth Jupe, and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center of Goodrich and Genesys Regional Medical Center on the care they gave Dallas.
