Obituary of Lula Margaret Dow

Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Maple Woods Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm. Wednesday evening family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. On Thursday morning, Lula Margaret will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Mary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Lula was born November 30, 1923, in Hersey, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alford and Evelyn (Ledgett) Ward. She and John Dow were united in marriage and he has preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vel and husband, Doug Pilon, Margie and husband, Dan Gasparich, Cathy and husband, Gary Hansen, Jackie and husband, Jerry Myers, Fran and husband, John Kelley, Patrick Dow, John Dow, Charles and wife, Peggy Dow, Barb Russell, Bob and wife, Val Dow, and Ron Dow; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Joe Ward; and sister, Mary Adleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Sandie Arnold; and granddaughter, Jennifer Feldsman.
