Obituary of Edwin G. Brown

Age 91, of Flint, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Edwinas family will be present to receive friends on Sunday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm and on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Easter Seals. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Edwin was born August 14, 1915 in Richfield Twp., Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Patience (Cook) Brown. He and Alena Bauder were united in marriage April 21, 1942. She preceded him in death April 29, 1969. On November 24, 1975, Edwin would marry Sarah "Sallya Phillips. She preceded him in death December 18, 1993. Edwin retired from Ferguson Block where he worked as a truck driver and a mechanic for over 20 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local #332. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. \ \ Left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Sharon and husband David Auten, son: William and wife Mary Stewart, six grandchildren: Mike, Jeff, David, Stacey, Eddie and Tony, five great-grandchildren, sister: Marjorie Martin, and many nieces, nephews and friends. \ \ Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, wives: Alena and Sally, son: Leslie James, sisters: Nina Sebert and Edna Lendvoy, and a brother: LJ Brown.
