I CAN'T BEGIN TO COUNT HOW MANY TIMES DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE SAID TO ME THAT GLORIA WAS SO LUCKY TO HAVE ME WITH HER TO TAKE CARE OF HER. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT IT WAS A PRIVELEGE AND HONOR TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE SO CLOSE TO HER. TRULY I AM THE "LUCKY" ONE. AS I WAS HOLDING HER HAND THIS WEEK I THANKED HER FOR BEING THE BEST FRIEND I'VE EVER HAD. I MAY HAVE BEEN THERE TO HELP WITH HOUSEWORK, COOKING, AND KEEPING UNCLE DON IN LINE------BUT SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO LISTEN, COMFORT, AND ENCOURAGE ME WHEN I NEEDED IT. MY AUNT GLORIA WAS THE BRAVEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFETIME. I WATCHED HER WINCE IN PAIN TO TAKE A STEP, AND TO FEEL SUCH FRUSTRATION TO PEEL A POTATO. SHE WAS SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO ME. I WILL MISS HER EACH AND EVERY DAY. SHE WAS READY TO TAKE HER PLACE BESIDE OUR LORD. I FEEL SO COMFORTED IN KNOWING THAT EVEN AS SHE TOOK HER LAST BREATH------NO MORE WILL HER FINGERS NOT DO WHAT SHE WANTED THEM TO DO----OR HER LEGS ACHE JUST TO STAND UP. WHEN I START FEELING SAD,I'M GOING TO PICTURE HER WITH WIDE OPEN ARMS AND STRONG LEGS RUNNING TO JESUS.\ \ \
