Obituary of Paul O. Moore

MOORE, Paul O., "PO,a age 87 of Mt. Morris died Friday, March 2, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm. Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Rev. Bob Coen officiating, with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm. - 9:00 pm. Sunday and from 12:00pm until the time of the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Heartland Hospice.\ Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Paul was born September 24, 1919 in Manteno, Illinois son of Mr. & Mrs. Otis and Birdena M. (Reed) Moore. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. Paul was inducted into Army in 1941 and was honorably discharged in 1947. He worked for CSX Railroad as a switchman for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. \ \ Paul enjoyed traveling, playing cards, hunting, going up north and believed that "One mans junk is another manas treasure.a \ \ Left to cherish Paulas memory are his children, Raymond and wife Marcia Moore of Lake City, MI, Randy and wife Veronica Moore of Mt. Morris, and Sharri and husband George Crawford of Mt. Morris; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; one sister, Eoline Socia and many friends.\ \ Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter-in-law Lynette Moore.\
