Obituary of Norman A. Kohn

Of Vassar, age 80, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Brians House Aaa Bay City. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of Vassar, MI or to St. Judes Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Norman was born December 24, 1929 in Snover, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin and Bessie (Schultz) Kohn. He and Verle Aleta Hutchinson were united in marriage April 24, 1958 in Reno Nevada. Norman worked on the family farm and at Yale Rubber in Sandusky, Eaton and Grede Foundry in Vassar until retiring in 1997. After retiring he enjoyed working in the tool department for Lowe's in Saginaw. During his free time Norman enjoyed woodworking, spending time with nature, his family, and his beloved dogs. Norman leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Verle; two children, Dawn Marie Kohn, William Ben Kohn; three step-children, Kim Arthur David, Keith Clark David, JoAnn and husband, Neil Michal; three grandchildren, Heather, Nick, Justin; twin sister, Nona Moore; sister, Betty Grimes; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Clare Kohn.
