Obituary of Mary J. Shires

MARY JO SHIRES\ Age 73, of Flint, passed away Wed., March 14, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Sat., March 17, 2007 at Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Davis Burkett officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 10am-2pm and 4-8pm Friday and 12pm until time of service at 1pm on Saturday. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Mary Jo was born February 2, 1934 in Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Nettie (Marr) Arnett. \ Mary Jo and Sinclair Shires were united in marriage on June 18, 1949.\ She had worked at Beecher Schools for many years. Mary Jo enjoyed collecting dolls, car racing and she loved animals. \ \ Surviving are her husband Sinclair of Flint;\ Children, Judy Rabanal of Miami, FL,\ Tommy and wife Nancy,\ Crystal and husband Tom Lamberson of Flint,\ Nancy and husband Dennis Mizell of Swartz Creek,\ Peggy Moore of Flint,\ Glen Shires of Flint;\ Grandchildren, Christopher Moore,\ Jason Shires,\ Cassandra Lamberson,\ Christie and husband Robert Klopf,\ Cynthia Lamberson,\ Kim Brabant;\ Great grandchildren, Ally and Jackie Klopf,\ Kobe Shires,\ Travis Shires,\ Jacob Brabant;\ Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.\
