I hope you find comfort in knowing that no father and son could have loved each other more. You were the apple of your parents eye and everyone who knows you and your family knows what a loving a devoted son you have always been. I know what a hard time you're having right now. You're in my prayers. \

Brek and family. My sincere condolences to you in the loss of your father/grandfather. Having lost my father to Leukemia late last year, I am only too familiar with the sorrow you must be feeling at this time. I have fond memories of your father as we (Brek and I) were coached by him on a Pony League baseball team. As oftentimes the leadoff hitter, due to my running speed, I can still hear "Coach" encouraging me with the remark, "fine set of wheels son, fine set of wheels" following my steal of second and third base. I thoroughly enjoyed being coached by him. I was unaware that he also worked at GM Ternstedt where my father also retired after 38 years. In closing Brek, you will find that the good memories you have of your father will help fill the emptiness you presently have in your heart. God's Blessings to you and your family.\

I am sincerely sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He, too, as Greg Zimmerman stated, was my first baseball coach. As a young, energetic kid playing organized baseball for the first time, I couldn't have had a more perfect teacher & guide to get me started. His phrases were many. His manner was kind. You hung on his every word, wanting to do your best to please him. Brek, the last time I saw your dad was at Dayna Sitko's wedding which must be, what, 20 years ago. His presence was always strong. His impression forever lasting. My apologies for just finding out and not reaching out sooner. Your father will be truly missed. If I may leave you with a favorite phrase from little league days past, whether a big hit or running for a pop up that could be too far from your reach, you could always here the encouraging southern tones saying, "Get on your horse, son." God bless Glenn Stearns. My hearfelt condolences to the family.\

Dear Brek and family: I wanted to let you know how truely sorry I am for the loss of your father. We wanted to make it to the funeral home to personally pay our condolences, however, our Uncle's funeral took place at the very same time in the Traverse City area. Growing up just down the street from your family I didn't really get the chance to get to know your father like my older brothers Brian and Jeff did. More recent I've gotten to know him from seeing him at VG's in Genesee quite frequently. Since I work there, he would always stop by and say "hello" to me. I often would bring up the subject of the beautiful Christmas "ice tree" that he would make in the front yard of your house. I will never forget how beautiful that that tree was. It certainly brought a lot of joy to me over the years and to several of the whole neighborhood as well. I will miss your father coming in the store. He was a great man and will be sadly missed by a lot of people. God Bless and take care........Renee DeFreese

Brek, I was saddened to her of your Dads passing and sorry that I could not attend, as I was helping with funeral arrangements for my Uncle in Traverse City. I have great memories of your Dad, including those many rides to hockey practice in Flint and especially the time that the three of us took down your Dad's TV antenna at the Runnells Drive home. Please contact me, lets have a root beer and reminisce
