We want to send you our most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Father Ron. We met Father Ron at a Catholic Engaged Encounter in August of 2006. He played a pivotal role in strengthening my fiancAAeAaas and my relationship at the time. We are now married. My wife and I were initially married in a non-Catholic church and Father Ron found a way for us to be married in the Catholic Church very soon after. If we had never met Father Ron, we would not have been able to get married in the Catholic Church and for that we are very grateful. We had never met someone who unselfishly helped us for no other reason than to be just a kind and wonderful person. People with Father Ron's heart are truly rare. We are truly better people for knowing him.\

I was sadden to learn of Father Ron's death. I have only good memories on him as he helped me when I was visited Rome. We corresponded several time before I went and he was so very patience answering all of my questions and then while I was in Rome, he took time out of his busy schedule to show me the Vatican and take me out to dinner and then got passes into the Vatican when Pope John-Paul II was saying mass. I learned so much from him, the most important is that I learn how to pray in a fast moving car....if you can picture a small compact car like the Yugo and Fr. Ron driving through the small narrow one-way streets of Rome to get to different places. I thought we would never make it. But Fr. Ron got us there without a scratch. I look at my pictures often and remember how generous Fr. Ron was with his time to make sure that my trip to Rome was one that I would never forget. We talked of his family and how much he missed them. \

Dearest Larkin Family,\
There are no words to express the loss we have all felt in the passing of Fr. Ron, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you, his family. We have had the great pleasure of coming to know Fr. Ron while he was at St. Joseph's and then even more so through the MSC association group that we were a part of.\
Fr. Ron was such a loving man with such a big heart. I always remember the love and affection he had for my oldest son, Joseph (now 4) when he was a baby, and then for Jeremiah. My boys loved him and always gave him a big hug during our meetings. I believe my boys saw his love and goodness which is why they were always so comfortable around him. I feel blessed to have known him, he truly was a gift to the priesthood.\
Please know that we have kept your families in prayer and in our thoughts and will continue to do so. \

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be loved everywhere!\

My Uncle, Fr. Ron Larkin, was a tremendous role model for me during my childhood growing up in Mt. Morris, MI. He inspired me to become an altar boy at St. Mary's for nearly ten years. He helped me start a stamp collection from every country around the world where he traveled and performed miracles of his own. I held his fishing gear over many years for when he returned to his home town and took a break from being a fisherman of others. Not only did he marry me at St. Mary's but he also baptized my Daughter Sophya in Orlando, FL. How very fitting that he pass on Easter Sunday. I'll be there for you tomorrow just like you have always been here for me. Say hello to my Mother from all of us!

I'm so sorry for your loss. What better day to die than Easter Sunday! Just like Our Lord rose from the dead on that day so too his faithful follower, Father Ron, has risen from his pain to his glorious reward! Take comfort in his joy.

Father Ron always had a big smile for all of us and big hugs while we were growing up. Our days were very special when 'uncle' Ron showed up -- the family masses were always spirited and he was always available for ceremonies throughout the years. I will never forget him 'thumping' my head with his fingers as his sign of affection. \

....Heartfelt sorrow when I learned about his illness and sadness for his brothers and sisters and all family members at this time.
