Obituary of Olive Lucille Fritz

Of Mt. Morris, age 90, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place, 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Bob McGraw will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Olive was born April 1, 1923, in Freemont Township, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Etta Mae (Beechum) Miner. She and Frederick Fritz were united in marriage July 15, 1944, in Bay City. She worked at Ternstedt for 30 years before retiring in 1984 and was a member of the UAW #326. Olive was a active member at St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church, serving in a variety of capacities. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, traveling, crocheting and cooking. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, GaylaLynn Fritz, Debbie Murgas and Earlene and husband, Tomas Hanson; 6 grandchildren, Tomas, Jeremy, Jamie, Terry Anne, Amy and Jennifer; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Sanford; and many nieces; nephews; and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Fritz on June 7, 1997; her parents; and several brothers and sisters. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the Staff of Maple Woods Manor, for the love and care given to our mother.
