Obituary of Gary Edward Jones

GARY EDWARD JONES\ Age 53 of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Pastor Doug Klein officiating with burial following in Flint Memorial Park. His family will be present to receive friends 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm Friday.. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Gary Jones Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gary was born December 26, 1953 in Oak Hill, West Virginia son of Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Edwin and Helen Yvonne (Bryant) Jones. He married Patricia Cooper on Feb. 21, 1974 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Gary was employed as a truck driver for twelve years and also as a fork truck driver at Chevy in the Hole for sixteen years. He enjoyed going to car shows and auctions, listening to the older country music, was a NASCAR fan and liked to go camping. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jennifer Ryan of Flint and Tammy Boone of Montrose; grandchildren, Justin Edward Ryan, Brandon, Bradley and Krystal Boone, Robert Reed; brothers and sisters, Marilyn and husband Ron Kaufmann of Clio, Denise and husband Tim Knorr of Clio, William and wife Nancy Jones of Mt. Morris, Michael and wife Sharon Jones of North Branch, Lisa Jones of Clio; numerous nieces and nephews; 3 aunts; 2 uncles; best friend, Kenneth Jones; loving lap dog, Hanna; wife of 33 years, Patricia. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father in 1980; two infant grandchildren, Zachary Michael Wright and Karlie Sue Vance; favorite uncle, James Bryant.
