Obituary of Acil Edward Goff

GOFF, Acil Edward age 77 of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at his home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00am at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating. Ace's family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00am. \ \ Acil was born January 13, 1930 in Mt. Morris the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Edna (Beaubien) Goff. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1948. He was a proud member of the US Navy serving on the USS Oriskany for 4 years. Ace worked for General Motors for several years before starting his business, Goff Electric. He found enjoyment in his younger days in hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and coin collecting. \ \ Ace leaves to cherish his memory 4 children: Denise and husband Robb Hubbs of Tecumseh, MI, Jim and wife Cindy Goff of Clio, Jerry and Sydney Goff of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brian Goff of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister Phyllis Strand, and 2 brothers Stanley Goff, and Duane Goff. \ \ He was preceded in death by his parents, and his special friend Beverly McTaggart. \ \ \
