Obituary of Maxine Kay Herrington

Of Vassar, age 60, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, August 23, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Pete Crawford will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Maxine was born July 14, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Shirley (McDonald) Noyce. She and Russell Herrington were united in marriage on May 20, 1972. She worked for Bronners for 13 years. Maxine spent her free time fishing, camping, bowling, playing softball, watching the Detroit Tigers and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and friends and planting her flower garden. Left to cherish her memory husband, Russell Herrington; children, Courtney Herrington, Joseph Herrington, Michelle Mattingly and Kaitlin Herrington; one granddaughter, Alexa Phillippi; siblings, Bonnie Willson (Ed), Harold Noyce and Jean Edwards-Noyce; and many nieces; newphews; cousins and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Henry Noyce; and sister-in-law, Vivian Noyce.
