Obituary of Pauline E. Steinbacher

PAULINE E. STEINBACHER\ Vassar, Michigan\ \ Age 82, died peacefully, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Covenant Cooper in Saginaw with her family at her side. \ \ Pauline was born February 5, 1925 in Vassar, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buryl and Ena (Pinkerton) Dean. She and Jack T. Steinbacher were united in marriage July 30, 1961 in Vassar. He preceded her in death October 26, 1997. Pauline, along with her friend Doris Kennard owned and operated AaA"Interior DAAcorAaA in Vassar for many years. For the past several years, Pauline worked at the Clark Funeral Homes and then the Martin Funeral Homes in Vassar and Fairgrove and she served as president of the Vassar WomenAaas Club in the late 1950Aaas. Her grace, charm, love for her family and the City of Vassar will always be remembered.\ \ Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sue Ann Bauer,\ Robert (Barbara) Phelps,\ And Kirk Steinbacher,\ Six grandchildren,\ five great-grandchildren,\ a great great-grandson,\ \ Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack and son-in-law, John Bauer.\ \ Funeral service will take place 1:30pm, Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Rev. Robert H. Roth, Jr. will officiate with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. PaulineAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:30pm.
