Obituary of Robert Nidiffer Edmonds

Of Mt. Morris, age 71, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at his home. . The funeral service will be held, 12:00 noon, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Mr. Vernon Lawrence will officiate with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Robert's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, on Monday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, and on Tuesday from 11:00am until time of service. On Monday evening a Masonic Memorial will be held at 7:00pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Robert was born December 26, 1935 in Flint, MI the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nidiffer and Dorothy (Law) Edmonds. He and Joyce Beverly Mathews were united in marriage September 29, 1956 in Indiana. He retired from General Motors. \ \ He was a member of the Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge F&AM # 535. He was a Past Master, a Past Director and President of Provost Guard, and a Shriner. \ Robert also served as Logan Township Supervisor and Tax Assessor. \ \ Robert leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years Joyce Beverly Edmonds, son Robert (Marie) Edmonds, daughter Luann (Patrick) Horton\ son Jeffrey (Sandra) Edmonds and daughter Julie (Daniel) Eashoo, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers Wiley (Rosemary) Edmonds, Murray (Blanche) Edmonds, Ronald (Paulette) Edmonds, 2 sisters Mary Lou (Robert) Martin and Beverly Edmonds Hollis, brother in law William Furden, and sister in law Carolyn Edmonds, several nieces, nephews, and special friends. \ \ Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son Scott Edmonds, sisters Joyce Furden, and Karen Dohrman and brother Gerald Edmonds.
