Of Flushing, age 85, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A private service and scattering has taken place. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Old Newsboys. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Robert was born August 4, 1924 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred and Nora (Blain) Watkins. He and Olga Slobodian were united in marriage on August 12, 1944, for 51 years, until her death. He later married Mildred Gracz.
Robert was a life member of Flushing Masonic Lodge # 223. He enjoyed fishing, auction sales, his flea market, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his children, Robert and wife, Christie, Helen and husband, Marvin Hart, Karen and husband, Glen Smith, Phyllis and husband, John Ortquist; grandchildren, Bradley, Philip, Steven, Ann Marie, Robert, Andrew, Scott, Jonathan; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Olga Watkins, Mildred Watkins; granddaughter, Stacy; three brothers; one sister.
