Obituary of Ronald Lewis Hufford

Of Durand, age 76 died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at his home. A memorial service is being planned for the fall of this year. Cremation has taken place. Ronald was born March 19, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles William and Sarah Belle (Johnson) Hufford. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and worked as a Die Setter for Chevy Truck & Bus for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Ronald was a member of the Perry VFW Post #4063, the AmVets of Durand, and the Shiawasee Dog and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, socializing, playing pool, Euchre, picking mushrooms and looking at women. Ronald is survived by his two daughters, Pamela and husband David Smolek of Corunna, and Julie and husband Donald Morse of Clio; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ruby, Bertha, Verna, Norma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Gary; 2 brothers, Charles and Donald; 6 sisters, Nellie, Stella, Lillie, Dollie, Mary, and Lois.
