Obituary of Clara Pierce

Of Flint, age 86, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint. Rev. Fr. Santhiyagu Arockiyasamy will officiate with burial to follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Clara's family will receive friends at the Miles Martin funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am to 8:00pm. On Saturday Clara will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service 11:00am. Memorial donations may be considered to St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint, envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ Clara was born June 11, 1921 in Saginaw, MI the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine and Blanche Pawlowski. She and Earl D. Pierce were united in marriage August 10, 1940 in Grand Blanc. Clara leaves to cherish her memory: 3 children Earl Ace and wife Barbara Pierce, Sandra Summers and Bill Roebuck, Lorraine Swinger, 8 grandchildren: Dennis and wife Ras Pierce, James and wife Dawn Pierce, John Bunting, Bobby Summers, Sara Roebuck, Stephanie Cloud, Jason Swinger, and Aaron Swinger, \ 9 great grandchildren, sister Gertrude Weaver, special niece Connie Riley, and many nieces and nephews. \ She was precded in death by her parents, husband Earl D., infant son, great granddaughter, and many brothers and sisters.\
