One of twin girls born to Charles and Mary Lockhart on October 11, 1924. Edie graduated from Caro High School in 1942 and worked at Eaton Erb Foundry for 14 years. She married Vincent "Williea Oprea in 1947. In 1956 she and her husband bought and operated Hill Top Recreation for the next 30 years. She and Willie were inducted into the Vassar Bowling Association's Hall of Fame in 1995. Edie was also a member of the Bowlers' Birthday Club. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Edie loved to hunt and fish. She was an oil painting artist, having painted pictures for the Vassar Bowling Association's Hall of Fame and Ducks Unlimited. She is survived by one son Jerry (Karen) Oprea of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Also 3 grandchildren: Kari (Jason) Remaley, Christopher, and Andrew; all of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her dog, Missy. She was predeceased by her husband Willie, her son John, her grandson Anthony, and her daughter-in-law Joyce, as well as her identical twin sister Edna Miller and brother Walter Lockhart. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Friday 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Vassar at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 14, 2007, Pastor Steve Abend officiating, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be considered to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\
