Obituary of Rita Florence Gallagher

Of Genesee Twp, age 57, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Roger P. VanDonkelaar will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Rita was born March 1, 1950 in Sears, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Pearl (Culp) Lee. She and Michael J. Gallagher were united in marriage January 15, 1967. He preceded her in death November 9, 1997. She enjoyed knitting, crafting, reading, watching movies, country music and her favorite holiday was Halloween. \ \ Left to cherish her memory are her children: two sons: Michael and wife Cherie Gallagher, Bob Gallagher, two daughters: Michelle and husband Joseph Kates, Angela and husband Michael Michniewicz, seven grandchildren: Mike, Jennifer, Bobby, Zach, Allan, Forrest and Benjamin, and her grand-dog, Mitzi, brothers and sisters: Roy, Avis, Juanita, Harold and Shirley, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. \ \ Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Michael in 1997 and brother, Victor.
