Obituary of Nida E. Rohrer

Of Clio, age 95, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Cranberry Park Memorial Care. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, September 23, 2013, at the Mt. Morris First Baptist Church 800 Louisa St. Mt. Morris. Rev Todd Regester will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Nida's family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm then from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On Monday Nida will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Mt. Morris First Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Nida was born January 17, 1918, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Inez (Burrell) Carrier. She and Donald Rohrer were united in marriage June 12, 1943. Nida enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, sewing, attending church. Left to cherish her memory, husband Donald "Keith"; two sons, Tom Rohrer and Jack and wife Deborah Rohrer; two granddaughters, Tracy and husband Evan Hessel and Angela Rohrer; two sisters-in-law Hazel Carrier, Betty Mattashed; and many other family members and friends. Nida was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Arnold; sister-in-law Ethel Carrier.
