Obituary of Edna Runyan
Edna Louise Runyan, 93, of Benzonia, earned her wings and reunited with the love of her life, on July 12th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. In accordance with Edna's wishes cremation has taken place. There are no further services scheduled at this time.
Edna was born on April 11th, 1931, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Oscar and Ruth (Goddard) Ream. Edna married her one true love, Jack Runyan in 1947. Together they spent 73 wonderful years of marriage. Edna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Edna worked for many years as a nurse, where her love and compassion was shown to many. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time reading and being outdoors. She loved watching the deer, and hummingbirds out in nature. She also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. Above anything, Edna loved her family. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren. Her outgoing and loving nature will be missed by her family and those closest to her.
Edna is survived by: her daughter, Linda (Jack) Greene of Mount Morris, Michigan; five grandchildren: John (Lisa) Runyan of Brighton, Michigan, Jacob (Ashley) Greene of Benzonia, Michigan, Kendra (Gregory) Cleveland of Waterford, Michigan, Angie (Jason) Crider of Flint, Michigan, and Jackie Latimer of Flint, Michigan; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Edna was preceded in death by husband, Jack Dale Runyan, her sons: Dan Dale Runyan and John Robert Runyan; her daughter, Kathy Albanys; her brothers: Corbin Ream, Robert Ream; her sister, Kathleen Romolino (Ream); and her parents.
