Obituary of Bethany Brucine Gerhardt
Age 69, of Flint, died on May 25, 2024, at home with her family by her side. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of her life on July 21, 2024, at noon at 509 Welch Blvd in Flint. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Bethany’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.
Bethany was born in Flint on October 12, 1954, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Ellen (Elkins) Gerhardt. Educated locally, Bethany attended Grand Blanc High School and graduated from Central High School in Flint. She was a great homemaker who loved doting on her family and making sure they had everything they needed and enjoyed working on cars. In her free time, Bethany enjoyed reading, fishing, taking care of her family, and watching crime shows. She was a loving, caring, kind soul and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Bethany’s memory are her wife, Kimberlee Ferris; daughter, Teresa Carder; son, Dennis Jenkins, and daughter-in-law, Brittany Sanborn; son, Robert Tompkins; grandchildren: Elise Jenkins, Amiyah Jenkins, Davion Jenkins, Jorden Schwalm, Malachi Durance; sister, Pamela Folts; twin brother, Bruce Gerhardt; and numerous others that called her “Ma”.
Bethany was preceded in death by her father and mother.
