Obituary of Dale Russell Girard
Age 68, of Frankenmuth, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his home with his family by his side. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, MI 48458. Reverend Jeffrey Haddon officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Dale's family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. On Thursday morning, Dale will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Dale was born on January 18, 1956, in Flint, he is the son of Mr. Walter Michael Girard, Mrs. Mary Madolyn (Parker) Baldwin, and Mrs. Kathryn Girard. Educated locally, Dale graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School in Mt. Morris with the class of 1974. Shortly after graduating, Dale would meet the love of his life, Jennifer Lynn McFatridge. The two dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on June 26, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Clio. Together, Dale and Jennifer loved traveling, and watching their children grow up and become parents. Dale was the Project Superintendent for Sorensen Gross Construction Services for 30 years, retiring in 2010. If you knew Dale, then you know he was a jack-of-all-trades. He was able to master the craft of many trades throughout his 30-year career. In his free time, Dale enjoyed playing ball and golfing. He was an avid University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching Westerns. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially watching his grandkids play sports. Dale was a long-time member of Trinity Assembly of God Church, where he was also a greeter and usher.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jennifer Girard; three children: Brandon Michael (Jamie) Girard, Courtney Kay (Jeffrey) Haddon, and Cassey Ann (Andrew) Girard-Powell; eight grandchildren: Ashlynn, Cash, Carson, Kaden, Kellen, Jadyn, Addison, and Maddax; three siblings: Cindy (Jerry) Hubbard, Sue Waskoski, and Connie (Randy) Smith; sisters-in-law: Jann (Randy) Burch, Charlotte (Al) Haeffner, brother-in-law, Chuck Dow; cousin-in-law, Tammy Herron; niece, Tanya Alexander; family friend, Sue McConnell; the family dog, Joe Joe; and many other family members and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; sister, Peggy; brother-in-law, Gary Waskoski.
